William & Mary

William & Mary is a liberal arts research university located in Williamsburg, Virginia. Founded by Royal Charter in 1693, it is the second oldest college in the country. Enrollment is over 8,000 full-time (graduate and undergraduate) students with a 11 to 1 student/faculty ratio. U.S. News and World Report ranks the college tied for 39th national universities and fourth among all public universities in the country. William & Mary includes five separate schools: Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Law and Marine Science.

William & Mary is the ideal choice for those preparing for military service, active duty personnel seeking advanced degrees, or veterans who are transitioning. We have a strong Army ROTC program, numerous service personnel in our graduate, law and business programs, and many veterans in our undergraduate programs, many of who are members of a very active student veterans organization. William & Mary has a strong tradition of preparing future leaders. Our Chancellor is former Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates.
