William & Mary Law School

William & Mary Law School prepares students for the ethical practice of law based on the philosophy of the citizen lawyer, the jeffersonian ideal of the lawyer as skilled advocate and devoted public servant. That concept translates into an academic curriculum that emphasizes experiential learning and the “human element” of the law – compassion, ethics and public service. The curriculum includes every aspect of modern law practice, and eight clinics that prepare students for the practice of law, including the Lewis B. Puller, Jr. Veterans Benefits Clinic. Together, all clinic students provide tens of thousands of pro bono service annually.
