Gary Logsdon

It is with great pleasure that I nominate Mr. Gary Logsdon for consideration as the Military Friendly Veteran of the Year 2025. Gary Logsdon has demonstrated remarkable commitment and service to the Veterans' community during the 2024-2025 calendar year. Mr. Gary Logsdon served in the United States Air Force from 1990- 2000. During his service as a SSgt, he provided outstanding performance as Aerospace Evac Medic. He is the recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal, three Air Force Achievement Medals and three Air Force Good Conduct Medals, Air Force Outstanding Unit Awrad, and the Air Force Organizational Excellence Award. Mr. Gary Logsdon has provided support to the Veterans of Santa Fe, New Mexico by heading the Local Veteran Stand Down (the Homeless Veterans Fund Drive) which was supported by over 100 volunteers from the VFW and the community. The resources of this drive were raised for Homeless Veterans and included the means to offer food, shelter, and other personal needs to the veterans of our community. Mr. Logsdon Volunteered to support the VFW and its mission to help Veterans. Mr. Logsdon served as an All-American District Commander, local Post Commander and eventually as the State VFW Jr Vice- Commander. Mr. Logsdon also served as a Veteran Service Officer and helped over 150 veterans obtain their disability ratings and the medical services they needed. Because of his involvement with the community, Gary was asked to be a keynote Speaker for the State of New Mexico's Annual; Veterans Day Celebration and Recognition Ceremony. Gary Logsdon's dedication and contributions have significantly impacted the lives of many veterans, making him a worthy candidate for the Military Friendly 2025 Veteran of the year. Mr Logsdon continues to serve Veterans as the Director of the Veteran Resources Center at Santa Fe Community College in NM.
