Brian became the Veteran Engagement Coordinator at Shawnee State University in 2022. From that time, the enrollment of military-affiliated students has consistently risen every semester ensuring education benefits earned through military service are used to educate veterans and their dependents. Brian actively strives for ways to educate the public on State and federal education programs aimed at veterans and their family members by conducting live interviews on television, radio, and in-person events in the region. His mission is to educate the public of benefits that veterans and their family members may not know or understand. His mission is to ensure benefits are used regardless of what college or university those eligible plan to attend. Brian, annually, organizes the Veterans Recognition Day honoring veterans from the region for their service to our country. In a largely rural region in Southern Ohio, Brian aims to provide opportunities for veterans and their family members by bridging the gap to larger metropolitan areas. Brian is a certified Mental Health First Aid First-Responder. He is the veteran representative on the Scioto County Suicide Prevention Coalition bringing public awareness to the public of the mental struggles of veterans. Brian is also a volunteer fire-fighter in his local community. His daily mission is to ensure all veterans are aware of their education benefits that can be used during and after their military service.
