UNI provides a welcoming, student-centered campus environment. The Military and Veteran Services Coordinator works closely with an institution-wide Veteran Student Services Committee to coordinate the provision of services to students who are military veterans and make recommendations for changes in service. Student veterans are included in the University's definition of diversity and are valued and respected as contributors to the fabric of campus life inside and outside the classroom. UNI’s attendance and transfer policies for service members are flexible with options available for student success. In addition, UNI initiated a policy recognizing service and emotional support animals.
