Why you should attend?

UNC is an excellent choice for military members, both active duty and veterans. While admission to Carolina is competitive, we recognize that students travel many paths to get here, and consider each application thoroughly. Your military service is advantageous, as we look for excellence in academics, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. We are approved to accept military tuition assistance, Veterans Affairs education benefits, and offer Yellow Ribbon scholarships for students classified as out-of-state for tuition purposes. Carolina has a strong transfer credit articulation process, and works closely with the North Carolina Community Colleges to prepare transfer students for success.
