University of Alaska Fairbanks

Established in 1917 when Alaska was still a territory, UAF is America’s northernmost Land, Sea and Space Grant institution. We offer 146 degrees and 32 certificates in 112 disciplines, ranging from associate degrees to Ph.D.s. More than 7,000 students take our classes. Our reach extends across the entire state through our rural campuses, research stations and public service offices. We offer an array of unique programs and degrees focused on the biology, climate, natural resources and peoples of the northern latitudes. Why you should attend?

You can serve your country without sacrificing your education. We offer class times and locations to accommodate busy work schedules, plus an ever0expanding selection of e0learning courses. UAF offers degrees, such as homeland security and emergency management, tailored to students with military backgrounds. Active, reserve and national guard military service members pay no more than $250 per credit hour, no application fee, and no additional fees except course specific costs and materials if applicable, for both in0person and online undergraduate courses. Veterans pay resident tuition, and you can get credit for military training and national proficiency exams.
