About Wor-Wic Community College

Wor-Wic is a comprehensive community college that enhances local economic growth by addressing the educational, training, and workforce development needs of the residents of Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset counties. The college serves a diverse student body through its high quality, affordable educational offerings and comprehensive support services designed to facilitate student goal completion. Founded in 1975, the college enrolls more than 10,000 students in 2,500 classes each year at its campus in Salisbury and at various locations throughout Maryland's Lower Eastern Shore.

Why you should attend?

Wor-Wic Community College values and respects our nation's Veterans, military and military families. Wor-Wic is regionally recognized as a very military-friendly educational institution. Our entire campus family supports our Veterans, military and their families. Our campus has a spacious Veterans and Military student lounge which is very popular with our Veteran and military students. Wor-Wic was selected as one of sixty-four colleges nationwide to be awarded a five year Department of Education Veterans Upward Bound program on campus. A large Veterans Education Resource Center has opened on campus to house the VUB staff, lab and classroom. Our Veteran and military students receive priority registration when enrolling for classes. We have a SALUTE National Honor Society on campus for Veteran and military students.

Our school has instituted policies to address the concerns and needs of military spouses and their families. We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses. Our flexible learning options and degree continuation programs are designed to accommodate deployments and relocation.
