SAGE is owned and operated by veterans, and we take great pride in offering short-term commercial driving programs that can help veterans get quality training so they can get to work quickly in the trucking industry. SAGE was one of the first schools to seek and obtain approval for certificate truck driving programs under the Post 9-11 GI Bill. Truck driver training is somewhat unique in that, as certificate training, it is not eligible for certain VA and related programs such as SOC and Yellow Ribbon. However, our CDL training programs serve a huge need among veterans for career and trade programs. Truck driving careers have proven to be especially important for veterans, who have shown enormous interest in the trucking industry, which has many characteristics similar to military life. Trucking also provides potentially high pay and good benefits for veterans. The trucking industry has demonstrated a sincere interest in hiring SAGE’s veteran graduates.
