Oakton Community College

Oakton Community College is a two year public community college with two campuses serving students residing in the north and northwest Chicago suburbs. The College’s enrollment is 7,000. The College awards Associate in Arts and Sciences degrees and Associate in Applied Science degrees. The College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and is registered with the Illinois State Board of Higher Education to provide credit courses, continuing education units, and professional development hours. Additionally, the school is accredited by local and regional organizations/associations for our Associate in Applied Science degrees.

Oakton Community College is a military friendly institution committed to supporting student veterans and their families. Military students are eligible to withdraw from classes any time past midterm without penalty, if called to service, and potentially receive full credit for these courses. The College also awards credit for military experience. Oakton's small class size allows students to form strong connections with instructors and classmates. Dedicated faculty and staff provide students with supplemental learning resources and office hours to support academic success.
