Why you should attend?

Proud of its long military friendly history, Northwestern State University wants to meet the educational needs of our military members. Northwestern, named a Military Friendly School previously, welcomes adult learners. Students may apply college level life, work and military experiences toward degree requirements through Prior Learning Assessment. Students may also use previously earned college credit, transfer credit from other training or educational pursuits, and take challenge tests to earn academic credit toward a baccalaureate degree. Students can earn a degree entirely online that provides flexibility and convenience and enables the adult military student to continue working while completing a degree.
