Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) has three campuses and seven centers in its four county service area. Two of MGCCC’s centers are located on military installations: Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, MS, and the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport, MS. MGCCC began offering courses at Keesler Air Force Base in 1973 and provides coursework toward Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) requirements as well as university transfer credit. MGCCC began offering courses leading toward a two-year degree and university transfer credit at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in 2001. MGCCC also offers online classes.

Why you should attend?

MGCCC recently implemented the Military Benefits Processing Center to enhance oversight and ensure excellence in services across all campuses and centers for veterans, active duty military, and military spouses and dependents. Two of MGCCC's centers are located on military installations where students comprehensive services including priority registration assistance, military credit and degree evaluations, and textbook service. MGCCC offers flexible course term scheduling options to work around temporary duty assignments and interruptions for deployment. MGCCC's military withdrawal policy ensures military students avoid any hardships or penalties when called to active duty. Active duty military and veteran students also receive in-state tuition.
