Why you should attend?

Drexel University has offered the Yellow Ribbon without restrictions and created the Office of Veteran Student Services and a Veterans Task Force for over a decade. The institution is nationally recognized as a Military Friendly School with a mature infrastructure of support for military-connected students, alumni, dependents and advocacy and partnership with and for military connected faculty, staff and community members. The Masci Family Veterans Lounge has existed since 2011 with upgrades in 2019 and serves as the hub for the Drexel Veterans Association and a variety of programs and activities coordinated by the Center for Military and Veteran Services: career services, social networking, community service, alumni events and Green Zone Training opportunities. The Lounge is staffed by Student Veteran Ambassadors to encourage peer leadership and engagement. The members of the Veterans Task Force represent a wide swath of services available to military-connected students (priority registration, academic support, wellness/mental health, career, alumni engagement, community service etc.). The institution offers a unique educational experience with cooperative education and a focus on translational research. The City is welcoming to our military-connected students and the institution has a number of great connections that support our military students, faculty, staff and alumni. Finally, the VA is within walking distance to the campus.
