Jay Garcia

Jay Garcia is a global leader in tech education, workforce development, and strategic partnerships, specializing in cybersecurity, data analytics, and higher education. With 15+ years across the U.S. military, cybersecurity, data analytics, nonprofit leadership, and large-scale upskilling programs, he builds and scales initiatives that close skills gaps and drive industry transformation. He has guest lectured worldwide since 2022, bringing industry expertise into university classrooms.

He is currently Senior Advisor at BairesDev and Technology Evangelist for Kiteworks. Previously, he led Alteryx’s SparkED Data Analytics Education Program for the Western U.S. and LATAM, and the SparkED Global Military & Veterans Program. Before Alteryx, he expanded Fortinet’s Network Security Academy, Veterans, and Education Outreach programs, and drove partnerships as Fortinet’s MSSP Business Development Manager.

A 20-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he led recruiting, higher-ed partnerships, onboarding, curriculum development, training, and branding. He serves on advisory boards for CSU Long Beach CPaCE and LMU, lectures at top universities, and holds an MS in Psychology, a BA in Social & Criminal Justice, and an MBA in Strategic Marketing.
