With great admiration and deep respect, I nominate Richard Comitz for the 2025 Veteran of the Year Award. As ACP's Chief Operating Officer, Rich continues to embody the highest ideals of military service—selflessness, humility, and servant leadership—in every facet of his civilian career and personal life. As a Veteran, Rich has carried the ethos of service before self into our organization, where he leads with quiet strength and unwavering dedication. As COO, Rich never seeks the spotlight but has instead focused on building strong teams, fostering a culture of empathy, and empowering others to succeed. He approaches challenges with calm resolve and is the first to roll up their sleeves, often working behind the scenes to ensure others shine. Rich's humility is evident in his leadership. He is an active listener who demonstrates deep care, compassion for his team, and an unshakable belief in shared success. Rich remains grounded and approachable, a trusted ally and mentor. Rich's real impact is measured beyond performance metrics; it is in the countless lives he has touched with compassion, encouragement, and steady guidance. Rich represents the very best of what it means to be a Veteran—not just in words, but in daily action. He leads by example and is someone the team wishes to emulate. I can think of no one more deserving of the Veteran of the Year title for his lifelong commitment to service, both in uniform and out.
