Southwestern University

Southwestern University is a private, undergraduate only, four-year national liberal arts and sciences college, located on a beautiful 100-acre campus just north of Austin, Texas. The first institution of higher learning in the state, Southwestern was founded by Methodist missionaries and chartered by the Republic of Texas in 1840. Academics are central to the Southwestern experience and today, the University is highly recognized by college guidebooks and ranking services for value, quality of education and contributions to the public good, and has been named one of the most environmentally responsible colleges.
