Northwest Missouri State University

Northwest Missouri State University was established in 1905 and is a state-assisted, four-year regional university offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs to approximately 10,000 students. With a student teacher ratio of 21 to 1, the University focuses on “student success – every student, every day,” which has helped place Northwest’s graduation rate in the 95th percentile of its national peer group with career placement rates of 97 percent among bachelor’s degree earners and 99 percent among master’s degree earners. Northwest provides full-time students with textbooks and laptop and offers profession-based experiences, nearly 150 student organizations, and about 1,200 student employment opportunities.

Northwest Missouri State University is approved for certification of students eligible to receive educational assistance from the Department of Veterans Affair. The School Certifying Official assists military service members and veterans in meeting the requirements for financial assistance and other benefits. Northwest has high graduation and career placement rates and offers rigorous academic programs, small class sizes, and opportunities for student employment and profession-based learning experiences. Many resources, including the Student Success Center, Writing Center, Math Lab, Career Services, and faculty advisors, are available to help students be successful throughout their time at Northwest and after.
