Labette Community College is a two-year accredited college located in Parsons, Kansas. LCC prides itself on providing quality learning opportunities in a supportive environment for success in a changing world. The College has evolved from a city college primarily serving those students who wished to transfer to a four-year institution to a comprehensive community college offering transfer degrees, professional/technical degrees and certificates, continuing education, customized training for business and industry, lifelong learning opportunities, and a variety of programs and services for Southeast Kansas and the four-state region. LCC works hard to support its students in their academic endeavors.

Part of creating that supportive environment is to provide a welcoming environment, quality education, and a path to success for all military-connected students. LCC's Military-Connected Student Services has staff available to provide one-on-one assistance to empower and support all military-connected students in their endeavors to improve themselves through higher education, to transfer to a four year degree, or enter the workforce. Assistance with academics, VA Benefits, career, financial and personal counseling, tutoring, accommodations, and disability services are available. LCC has also establish GREEN ZONE training to help provide awareness & information to staff at LCC so that they can better support our military-connected students.

Physical Therapy Technician/Assistant

A program that prepares individuals, under the supervision of a physical therapist, to implement physical therapy treatment care plans, train patients, conduct treatment interventions, use equipment, and observe and record patient progress. Includes instruction in applied anatomy and physiology, applied kinesiology, principles and procedures of physical therapy, basic neurology and orthopedics, physical therapy modalities, documentation skills, psychosocial aspects of health care, wound and injury care, electrotherapy, working with orthotics and prostheses, and personal and professional ethics.
