About Eastern Oregon University

EOU was founded in 1929 as a teachers college and today serves as Oregon's Rural University and a center for education, culture and scholarship. The main campus is located in La Grande, Ore., on I-84, 259 miles east of Portland, Ore. and 177 miles west of Boise, Idaho. We have 17 degrees that can be taken completely online. We offer a tuition discount to Active Duty military so there are no out of pocket expenses for tuition.

We offer a tuition discount to Active Duty military so there are no out of pocket expenses for tuition. All Active Duty and Military students receive priority registration. We have a dedicated advisor for all of our military connected students. EOU has a thriving Veterans Resource Center and have an active Student Veterans of America chapter. We currently offer 17 degrees that can be completed entirely online.
