Capitol Technology University

Capitol Technology University is a private, not for profit university in Laurel, Maryland near Washington, DC. The university was founded in 1927 as the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute by a former US Navy Radioman, and continues a long heritage of educating students from all educational backgrounds, including those in the armed forces. Capitol offers undergraduate and graduate programs specializing in cyber, engineering, AI, information technology, critical infrastructure, and business. The mission of Capitol Technology University is to educate individuals for professional opportunities in future focused careers by providing relevant learning experiences that lead to success in the evolving global community.

Capitol Technology University offers active duty and veteran service members access to resources and financial support for career success. Capitol is a participating institution in the Yellow Ribbon GI Educational Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program), which allows qualifying veterans the opportunity to attend one of Capitol’s degree programs tuition free. In addition to tuition discounts and valuable service resources, Capitol offers transfer credits for approved military training. Capitol has many strong affiliations with military agencies and adjacent organizations.
