2024 Student Veteran Athlete of the Year
Nominations open on January 9 and close February 18
The Student Veteran Athlete of the Year award is presented annually by Military Friendly® to an outstanding student veteran athlete who exemplifies the finest qualities of our nation’s military.
The award is bestowed upon those who have demonstrated exceptional prowess not only as student veteran athletes but also as dedicated students and valuable contributors to their academic institutions and communities.
Do you know a student veteran athlete who fits that description? Self-nominations are welcome.
To be eligible for the Student Veteran Athlete of the Year award, the nominee must meet the following criteria:
- Current student at an academic institution, or a student during 2023.
- Active in a collegiate sport, or active in a collegiate sport during 2023.
- US military veteran with an honorable discharge. National Guard or Reserve members are eligible as well.
Nomination Information Needed:
Contact information of nominee, Branch of Service, Years of Service, Field of Study, Degree Type, Sport, GPA, Expected Graduation Year, Photo, Reason for Nomination (Nominee’s story)
The award winner will be featured in G.I. Jobs magazine, as well as G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse social media channels.
