Western Kentucky University (WKU) prepares students of all backgrounds to be productive, engaged, and socially responsible citizen-leaders of a global society. The University provides research, service and lifelong learning opportunities for its students, faculty, and other constituents. WKU enriches the quality of life for those within its reach. WKU’s undergraduate division offers 93 academic majors that lead to baccalaureate degrees and 77 academic minors are available. Six associate degree programs and 21 undergraduate certificate programs. The Graduate School at WKU offers 92 degree and certificate programs. WKU also offers non-degree Rank I and II and certification-only teacher education programs.

Why you should attend?

WKU has a long history of providing services to the U.S. Military. WKU offers a significant tuition discount to all active duty, National Guard and Reserve member for graduate and undergraduate courses. In-state tuition is offered to eligible veterans and dependents. Priority registration is granted to active duty service members. Kentucky's only Veteran's Upward Bound program is located at WKU. Textbooks for Troops lending library offers FREE textbooks to eligible military students. WKU hosts an Army ROTC, Air Force ROTC, and SVA chapter. Our services extend beyond the basics.
