Western Illinois University

Western Illinois University was established in 1899 in Macomb. The Macomb campus offers a residential campus to students. A non-residential campus is also located in Moline, Illinois. Mission: Western Illinois University empowers students, faculty, and staff to lead dynamic and diverse communities. We provide student-centered undergraduate and graduate programs characterized by innovative teaching, research, and service, grounded in interdisciplinary, regional and global perspectives. We engage our students in educational opportunities guided by a professional and diverse faculty and staff in collaboration with alumni and community partners.

Why you should attend?

Western Illinois University strives to provide engaging and affordable educational opportunities to all students. WIU prides itself in supporting all branches of the military in every way possible. The Veterans Resource Center provides streamlined services and resources in a centralized location to ensure all veterans, national guard members, reservists and active duty personnel and their dependents receive individual assistance with any question or concern they may encounter. To meet the needs of military personnel, WIU has 14 online undergraduate programs, including the student designed Bachelor of Arts in General Studies degree program. All of WIU's online programs and courses are available at the in-state tuition rate.
