Wallace State Community College provides opportunities for all students to learn, lead, and grow. Veterans and others in our student body of approximately 5500 students can enjoy sharing our annual Common Read, intramurals, learning communities, supporting our competitive athletic teams, and selecting coursework and/or training from the three divisions of health, technical and academic. We are located in north central Alabama and are the third largest community college in the state. We also are the largest Alabama community college located in a rural area, an Achieve the Dream School, and selected as one of 30 colleges to participate in National Pathways project.

Why you should attend?

WSCC is an excellent choice for veterans because we are student-centered. We have a One-Stop Center, LionCentral, that eliminates students going from one office to another to complete registration and administrative tasks. Every student is part of the WSCC family and we value his/her presence. We opened a Veterans' Corner in our library. We consistently rank high in graduation rates, job placement rates, board passage rates in our health programs, and transfer rates as we are committed to our students' success. We are proud when students choose to "Be One of Us". We are here for them.
