The University of West Georgia, a 645-acre campus 50 miles west of Atlanta, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Offering instruction in more than 90 degree programs, ranging from the bachelor to the doctorate levels and accredited through their respective discipline’s accrediting body, on the main campus, at various instructional sites, and online. In early 2016, the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education officially upgraded UWG’s classification to Doctoral Research University R3. Why you should attend?

Servicemembers and veterans enjoy Priority Registration, waivers of out-of-state tuition when using DoD or VA educational benefits, waivers of Mandatory Fees when using military Tuition Assistance, and access to the campus chapter of the Student Veterans Association. Through collaboration with University and community resources, the Center for Adult Learners and Veterans offers outreach and in-person and online assistance to support the academic, professional, and personal needs of student veterans, active duty service members, and their spouses and dependents. CALV also conducts Green Zone training to help students, faculty, and staff develop the most welcoming environment possible for servicemembers and veterans.
