University of North Carolina Charlotte

UNC Charlotte is one of a generation of universities founded in metropolitan areas of the United States after WWII to serve returning veterans. Now a research-intensive university, UNC Charlotte is the third largest of the 16 institutions within the UNC system and the largest public institution in the Charlotte region. The university has seven professional colleges and offers 18 doctoral, 62 masters and 90 bachelor degree programs. The University continues its tradition of serving our nations veterans offering outstanding services, facilities and a newly opened Veterans Park dedicated to recognizing the service of generations of our students and alumni.

Why you should attend?

Our commitment to military-affiliated students is why you'll find over 1,100 veteran students, faculty, and staff on our campus. You'll find a Veteran Services Office to help you navigate the challenges of higher education. You'll find two large and active ROTC units. You'll find a Wall of Heroes memorial recognizing members of the UNC Charlotte family who have given their lives in military service. We value, respect and honor those who have served and last November, we dedicated a Veterans Park, to recognizing the service of all of our students, faculty, staff and alumni.
