Why you should attend?

In 2013, UGA formalized its approach to serving its military-affiliated population with the creation of the Student Veterans Resource Center (SVRC). Using strategies organized around easing transition, improving the student experience, and facilitating career readiness, the SVRC focuses its efforts on an integrated suite of programs/services collectively called Persistent Coaching. The SVRC's support is further amplified through partnerships with dozens of support organizations. These partnerships are continuously strengthened through additions like the UGA Veterans Legal Clinic (2017); the UGA Military and Veterans Consortium (2019); and a reimagined Veterans Wellness Program (IOC 2021-22). Complementing these services is strong philanthropic support from the UGA Foundation, the UGA Athletic Association, and Corporate/Community sponsors. As a result in AY2019-20 alone, the SVRC distributed over $200K in awards/scholarships.
