Why you should attend?

The University of Georgia claims a rich tradition of supporting our military servicemembers, veterans, and their families dating back to before the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Later, the ratification of state legislation for veterans’ education in 1866, formally announced our commitment to the best care for those connected to military service. In 1944, we created the University Veterans Association to support the more than 4300 student veterans. Today, our Student Veterans Resource Center carries on the same tradition with the help of more than 200 faculty, staff, and community partners plus a $1.3 million endowment for veteran scholarships.
