Why you should attend?

Nestled among five military installations, active-duty, veterans, and their family members are a welcome part of the campus culture. The Office of Veteran and Military Affairs provides academic, social and transition support, benefits counseling and enrollment certification for our military-affiliated students, which make up 20% of our student population. The McCord-Herbst Student Veteran Center is a safe space for studying, relaxing, and camaraderie among students just like you. Select programming and events for servicemembers, veterans, and their family members take place throughout the academic year to bring students together and build community. Our dedicated staff is available to assist students with any need, whether that is tutoring, access to accommodations and resources, or even just to talk. Boots to Suits, a mentoring program for student veterans, assists students with making connections in the community in the field of their choice. Additionally, we provide priority registration, multiple scholarship opportunities, and waived application fees for servicemembers and veterans.
