Tidewater Community College

Tidewater Community College (TCC) is one of the nation’s leading providers of education and training for military-related citizens, including active duty, National Guard, reserves, Coast Guard, veterans, their families, Department of Defense and Homeland Security employees. Located in Virginia’s Hampton Roads region, TCC served a student population of 27,726 in 2019-2020, which included, 6,096 military-related students.

TCC serves its community and military-related students through four fully comprehensive campuses, several major centers, including the Center for Military and Veterans Education (CMVE), and permanent representation on four major military installations in the region. The CMVE has over 50 TCC employees and over 30 VA work study students dedicated to all military-related students education and employability success. Through its extensive resources, infrastructure, and years of experience serving military-related students, TCC provides its military-related students with both traditional and distance learning opportunities for their personal and professional development, leading to transfer or career and certification, and future employment.

A program that prepares individuals to practice the profession of accounting and to perform related business functions. Includes instruction in accounting principles and theory, financial accounting, managerial accounting, cost accounting, budget control, tax accounting, legal aspects of accounting, auditing, reporting procedures, statement analysis, planning and consulting, business information systems, accounting research methods, professional standards and ethics, and applications to specific for-profit, public, and non-profit organizations.
