Why you should attend?

URI welcomes all active duty military/reserve/veteran students and their dependents to our campus community. The Office of Veteran Affairs and Military Programs assists military affiliated students in a successful transition into the URI community by: simplifying VA educational benefits, evaluating academic records, military and educational training records, choosing an academic program that best suits the students personal and professional goals, navigating pre-deployment/leave requests and post-deployment transition, providing connections to on-campus Veterans organizations, special events, campus life, and offering referrals to community-based organizations and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The community of Veterans attending URI have monthly SVO meetings and many activities throughout the semester to engage all students on campus.
