Why you should attend?

UNM's greatest asset for veterans, active military, and their families (hereafter "military-affiliated") is our Veteran & Military Resource Center (VMRC). This one-stop-shop provides information on the process of educational benefits to start school, as well as resources available to succeed in school. The VMRC has a Director, Supervisor of Student Success, Student Success Specialist Senior, Student Success Specialist, two VA School Certifying Officials, a VetSuccess on Campus Counselor, an Administrative Assistant, over ten military-affiliated student employees, and a Veterans Alumni Chapter. It also has military-affiliated new and transfer student orientation, Peer Advising, and is working to develop a Veterans' Transition Resiliency course. UNM offers in-state tuition to all military-affiliated students and coordinates with all UNM Branch campuses and New Mexico statewide accredited two year degree granting institutions.
