Why you should attend?

UNM's greatest asset for veterans, active military, and their families (hereafter "military-affiliated") is our centrally located Veteran & Military Resource Center (VMRC). This one-stop-shop provides information on the process of educational benefits to start school, as well as resources available to succeed in school. The VMRC has a Director, Supervisor of Student Success, two VA School Certifying Officials, a VetSuccess on Campus Counselor, a Program Coordinator for Academic Success, an Administrative Assistant, three military-affiliated student employees, and a Veterans Alumni Chapter. It is also in the final stages of developing a Veterans' Orientation and a Veterans' Transition Resiliency course. UNM offers in-state tuition to all military-affiliated students and coordinates with all UNM Branch campuses and New Mexico statewide accredited two year degree granting institutions.
