Shawnee Community College is an excellent choice for military members for several reasons. A dedicated Veterans Coordinator works with each veteran on a one-on-one basis to ensure that all paperwork is received and submitted in a timely manner. Financial Aid staff are readily available to assist with completing the FAFSA and answering any other financial aid questions. A dedicated academic advisor is available to provide one-on-one assistance with scheduling courses. A professional counselor is available on campus to ....... The college has a designated Veterans Resource Room, which provides students with a place to study, work on the computer, eat lunch, and visit with other veterans. Student veterans are encouraged to participate in the Veterans Club to promote camaraderie, satisfy their desire to continue giving back to the community, gain leadership experience, and share life experiences with others who can relate.
