Why you should attend?

Youngstown State University prides itself in catering to the needs of its military and veteran student population. YSU recently opened a 1.4 million dollar Veterans Resource Center which houses, the Coordinator for Veterans Affairs, a VA Certifying Official, and several amenities such as a student lounge, computer lab, study hall, kitchen, conference room, HD Cable TV, video gaming, and programming for veterans students. YSU provides services such as application fee waivers, priority registration, "Vets Only" courses, Veterans Advisory Council and a chapter of the Student Veterans Association (SVA).

Our school has instituted policies to address the concerns and needs of military spouses and their families. We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses. Our flexible learning options and degree continuation programs are designed to accommodate deployments and relocation.
