Why you should attend?

UWM enrolls 1,000+ veterans; the most in a six-state region. Support for military students begins during admission and continues through graduation and job placement. The Military and Veterans Resource Center (MAVRC) is a first-stop shop for veterans and their family members. Programing includes but is not limited to: veteran-specific orientations, Priority enrollment each semester, "Serving Those Who Serve Breakfast", "Milwaukee-area Student Veterans Ball", annual veteran graduation ceremony with cords, a full-time VA Vet Success counselor assigned to campus, Veterans Upward Bound Program, and an active Student Veterans of America Chapter.

Our school has instituted policies to address the concerns and needs of military spouses and their families. We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses.
