Why you should attend?

UWF's Military and Veterans Resource Center (MVRC) is one of only a few in the country, truly "one-stop" shops, providing needed assistance to military and veteran students. UWF's MVRC utilizes many VA work study students (veterans, spouses, and dependents) as peer mentors and transition coaches to serve fellow veteran students. Led by an on staff LCSW, the mentoring and tutoring program is robust and very successful. UWF's foundation has recruited donors to provide scholarships exceeding $15,000 annually dedicated to veterans, spouses and dependents, these scholarships are managed by and presented through UWF's MVRC.

Why we are a great choice for military spouses?

Our school has instituted policies to address the concerns and needs of military spouses and their families. We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses. Our flexible learning options and degree continuation programs are designed to accommodate deployments and relocation.
