Why you should attend?

Our Veterans are invited to Veteran Orientation, where they meet their cohort of fellow new students. The Associate Dean of Students, the Certifying Official, the Veteran Assistants & the president of the Student Veterans Association are personally involved in this orientation. Student Veterans get to know the campus layout, get academic advising in their major, select classes, review benefits, enjoy lunch with UMass Dartmouth faculty & staff who are also Veterans, and have a closed-door discussion with the Veteran Assistant to answer any questions they still have. Before leaving, the Veteran Assistant will bring new student Veterans on a tour of campus including the Veterans' Reading Room in the Claire T. Carney Library, and the Veterans' Office on the ground floor of our Campus Center.
