About University of Mary

The University of Mary is a Christian, Catholic and Benedictine university founded in 1955 as the two-year Mary College by the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery in Bismarck, North Dakota. It became a four-year, degree-granting institution in 1959 and achieved university status in 1986. It has held continuous regional accreditation since 1969. Today, U-Mary serves more than 3,300 students, offering nearly 60 undergraduate majors, 10 master's degrees and Doctoral Degrees. U-Mary offers accelerated degree programs in 14 locations (including on-post in Fort Riley, KS and on base at Grand Forks Air Force Base) throughout the U.S. and online
