About University of Colorado Colorado Springs

UCCS is one of four campuses within the University of Colorado System. We were established in 1965 and built on an original 1964 gift of 80 acres (for the price of $1) from local businessman George Dwire. Today, we are the fastest growing campus in the CU System and have transformed from a small commuter-based campus of 1,670 students to a full-fledged collegiate hub with an enrollment of over 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students. We offer 46 bachelor's, 23 master's, and five doctoral degrees through our six colleges. We feature such innovative programming as bachelor's degrees in Innovation, Inclusive Elementary Education and Exercise Science. 84% of our students are enrolled in undergraduate programs and 14% are pursuing graduate study.
