The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) along with the City of San Antonio, known as Military City, USA, and several military bases in the region, are part of a larger community that focuses and supports service members and veterans. The Office of Veteran and Military Affairs (VMA) at UTSA serves as a center for advocacy, innovation, and collaboration to facilitate the inclusion and success of military affiliated students. VMA oversees programming, which include; veteran peer mentors, workshops to ease education and career transitions, emergency funding, and internal and external partners that assist veterans in a variety of areas.
