About Southwestern University

Southwestern University is a private, undergraduate only, four-year national liberal arts and sciences college, located on a beautiful 100-acre campus just north of Austin, Texas. The first institution of higher learning in the state, Southwestern was founded by Methodist missionaries and chartered by the Republic of Texas in 1840.
