About Saint Francis University

Saint Francis University is a private, Catholic-Franciscan, coeducational institution founded in 1847 by six Friars from Ireland. The university affers accredited undergraduate and graduate education through three schools: the Shields School of Business, the school of Health Sciences and Education and the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The University places particular emphasis on developing individuals who will lead or serve with character, carrying their values into their chosen professions and communities.

Why you should attend?

SFU offers military members and their families flexible online learning options through its Undergraduate, Graduate and Adult degree/Continuing Studies programs. SFU maximizes military transfer credits from other schools up to the required amount needed for a particular degree which is 64 credits in most cases and 98 credits though AD/CS. SFU maintains a strong ROTC program and an active on campus Student Veteran Organization. Our Counseling Center is staffed with licensed counselors trained in veteran-specific mental health concerns such as UC4, QPR Suicide Prevention, PTSD, and TBI. SFU is a Service-Member Opportunity College (SOC), participant.

We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses.
