Northern Michigan University is pro-active in meeting veterans needs; recently awarded "gold" status as a veteran friendly institution by state of Michigan for the third year in a row (program only 3 years old) for providing comprehensive, veteran specific services, as well as having a full-time veteran services coordinator to assist veterans in navigating both the VA and the institution.
