About Northeast Alabama Community College

Northeast Alabama Community College (NACC), is located in Rainsville, Alabama, is a member of the Alabama Community College System. NACC's geographic service area includes Jackson County and portions of DeKalb and Cherokee Counties but the College also enrolls student from neighboring counties in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee. NACC provides general education at the freshman and sophomore levels to prepare students to transfer to senior institutions, career technical programs to prepare students for employment upon completion of their programs, developmental courses, adult education courses and non-credit courses. NACC also provides community services to promote cultural and economic development.

NACC is dedicated to serving veterans, service-members, and dependents. The College provides day, evening, and online classroom options enabling students access to quality education at home or abroad. NACC works diligently to ensure that veterans, service members, and dependents are shown respect, provided a positive experience, and provided assistance to aid in their transition from the military to college. The College provides assistance through financial aid, tutoring, success seminars, retention initiatives, job placement, Vet Success Center on-campus and special events for military students. The College is close proximity to the Redstone Arsenal/NASA Marshal Space Flight Center which provides employment opportunities for member separating from the service.

Our school has instituted policies to address the concerns and needs of military spouses and their families. We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses.
