About Cuyahoga Community College

Cuyahoga Community College (Tri- C) opened in 1963 and is Ohio's oldest and largest public community college. For 55 years Tri- C has provided quality, affordable education to more than 900,000 members of Northeast Ohio. Tri- C offers more than 1,000 credit courses in more than 140 career and technical program s and liberal arts curricula. More than 600 non - credit workforce and professional development courses are offered each year. The College serves more than 52,000 credit and non - credit students annually and offers day, evening and weekend classes; classes via television, the internet, and independent learning. Tri- C offers more than 800 Distance Learning courses.

For 55 years, Cuyahoga Community College has provided some 30,000 veterans with access to affordable education and workforce training program s that allow them to transition from military to civilian life. Through the College's Veterans Initiative Tri-C continues its commitment to veterans and their families, customizing support services to serve those who have served. The College's West Campus was built on the site of Cleveland's original VA Hospital, a fact recognized in the College's Veterans' Memorial Garden. Whether a discharged veteran, active duty, or member of the Guard and Reserve, veterans and their families are welcome at Tri- C.

Our school has instituted policies to address the concerns and needs of military spouses and their families. We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses. Our flexible learning options and degree continuation programs are designed to accommodate deployments and relocation.
