Central Connecticut State University is a regional, public university in New Britain, CT. Founded en 1849 as the State Normal School, CCSU is the states oldest publicly founded university. CCSU is made of four schools: School of Liberal Arts and Social Science, the School of Business, School of Education and Professional Studies and the School of Engineering. The university is attended by over 11000 students, approx. 9538 are undergraduate students and 2166 graduate students, 90% are instate students. We are a Division I school. Coops and internships are available.

We welcome all veterans, and military service members. CCSU is a great choice if they are interested in a quality education. Of the over 11000 students, 400 (+) are veterans and service members receiving federal or state VA Educational Benefits. Our faculty is very supporting and making accommodations for our student veterans.

We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses.
