About Cedar Valley College

Cedar Valley College (CVC) is one of seven colleges in the Dallas County Community College District. Over 6,800 students benefit from its comprehensive curriculum, which includes for credit academic transfer career programs and non-credit CE courses. CVC provides technical programs up to 2-years in length leading to associate degrees or certificates; vocational programs leading directly to employment; and freshman and sophomore course in arts and sciences. Excellence in teaching, student success and strengthening communities are valued at CVC. We are committed to providing students with the tools and support they need to pursue and successfully realize their goals and dreams. Our college is committed to serving students from entry to completion and transition.

Why you should attend?

Cedar Valley College is dedicated to providing excellent customer service to our veterans, current military, and their dependents. We assist our students with certifying enrollment at CVC and advise students on proper procedures regarding their educational benefits. CVC is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC) Consortium . CVC is participating in Principles of Excellence program. We also participate in a College Credit for Heroes- �Veteran Success Through Accelerated IT Career Pathways program. It focuses on accelerated career paths for industry certification in information technology and internet marketing specialist certificate. The program is funded by the Texas Workforce Commission. Emphasis is placed on the evaluation of their military record for academic credit and transcripts.

Our school has instituted policies to address the concerns and needs of military spouses and their families. We've constructed our admissions, retention, career counseling, and mentoring programs to help alleviate the difficulties faced by military spouses. Our flexible learning options and degree continuation programs are designed to accommodate deployments and relocation.
