About
Danville Community College (DCC) is a two-year institution of Higher Learning and provides quality comprehensive higher education in workforce programs and services while offering certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in more than 40 programs of study. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate degrees. The associate degree curricula of the College have been approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia. Its service area includes the City of Danville, Pittsylvania County, and Halifax County, and it is one of 23 colleges in the Virginia Community College System.

Military Veterans
Danville Community College (DCC) assists eligible veterans, reservists, guardsmen, and disabled veterans using their benefits for higher education, retraining, vocational skills or life-long learning. They may select from programs of study for transfer to a four-year college or from a range of occupational-technical degree, diploma, or certificate programs leading directly to employment upon graduation. Additionally, students may pursue specialized training through our premier workforce services programs.
Military Spouses
Danville Community College (DCC) assists military spouses and dependents using Veterans benefits earned or transferred by their veteran family member to them for pursuit of higher education, retraining, vocational skills or life-long learning. They select from programs of study for transfer to a four-year college or from a range of occupational-technical degree, diploma, or certificate programs leading directly to employment upon graduation.
