Veteran Student Stats

Military Veterans

Veterans receive customized support through Virginia Tech’s Office of Veterans Services (OVS), which offers welcome sessions to explain benefits, professional development opportunities, and assists with the transition to life at VT. OVS operates the VeTZone, a student lounge for veteran use. OVS works closely with Virginia’s Department of Veteran Services to connect veterans to local services. VT also has an active SVA Chapter, Veterans@VT, which brings together student veterans for varied events to include tailgates, networking sessions, hikes, tours and other varied on and off campus club and community service based events.

Military Spouses

At Virginia Tech, we liken the support of veteran spouses and dependents to support for the veterans themselves. By providing thoughtful, efficient, and caring support for spouses and dependents. We support the military family unit and are honored to do so. Tangible support structures for spouses and dependents are evident in our military-connected community events and dedicated funding and resources facilitating everything from benefits advising and certification to community activity space for the population.
