Capitol Technology University is a private, not for profit university in Laurel, Maryland near Washington, DC. The university was founded in 1927 as the Capitol Radio Engineering Institute by a former US Navy Radioman, and continues a long heritage of educating students from all educational backgrounds, including those in the armed forces. What We Offer
Military Veterans
Response: Capitol Technology University offers active duty and veteran service members access to resources and financial support for career success. Capitol is a participating institution in the Yellow Ribbon GI Educational Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program), which allows qualifying veterans the opportunity to attend one of Capitol’s degree programs tuition free. In addition to tuition discounts and valuable service resources, Capitol offers transfer credits for approved military training. Capitol has many strong affiliations with military agencies and adjacent organizations.
Military Spouses
Capitol Technology University provides a tuition discount for spouses of active duty service members who are pursuing an undergraduate degree or master's degree program.
